The art of intelligent sustainable weight loss

So I would like to jump right to the point.

It's been quite a while since I have written anything specific with regards to Being Primal.  There are a few reasons for that.

First, my primal journey has taken me into another area I am quite passionate about: Lifestyle Design.

Second, I didn't feel that Being Primal (the name) really allowed me to tackle everything I wanted to tackle with the concept of weight loss and changing how we look.

As you can see from the new banner, I am looking to be more helpful, hence the rebranding of the site.

So let me share what I am planning on doing.

First, I will only email you once a week.  Every Friday in fact..

Second, I will include a variety of articles that have been either posted on Being Primal or my other site www.deandwyer.com that I feel are relevant to your journey.

I know some of you wonder how lifestyle design could possibly have anything to do with losing weight.  Well you might be surprised to learn A LOT.

How we look is a symptom of how we life.

People who ignore that fact, end up going through years and years of yo-yo type dieting fads without ever achieving sustainable success.

Perhaps you can relate.

So while some of the pieces in this newsletter may not appear to be related, I urge you to broaden your definition of your struggle and be open to accepting ideas in some of the unlikeliest of places.

The plan moving forward...

So here is what I am looking to do with the new site.
First, I will post something each week that will be helpful to the journey.  As always, I'm always looking at ways to maximize our inner game so we can exceed at our outer goals.Second, I am going to be bringing in guest bloggers to post things such as...

  • recipes
  • success stories
  • exercise ideas that work
  • tips and strategies that help make change sustainable
I would also like to plant the seed that part of your goal should be to contribute to the site as a guest poster in some fashion, whether it be with a success story, a recipe or something else relevant to the journey. My other reason for doing this is part of a new approach to implement my core principles for daily living and one of those is to OPERATE FROM THE GENEROSITY PRINCIPLE.

In this case, I would like to allow others with a message worth sharing to leverage my platform to build their fan-base.

Third, I'm also going to be searching for podcasting talent and help those who have an inspiring message to share to build their audience under the Being Primal brand.  I will be providing all the expertise and the marketing know-how.  The recruits will be providing the content.  The goal is to create more shows that inspire and influence. And last, I am going to test out the idea of a free community where people can share ideas in a positive fashion (not a site where people dump their problems on an audience in a poor me boo hoo hoo kind of fashion).  This will be an experiment to see if this is an effective vehicle to promote change.

So that's what I have planned.

If anything I wrote resonates, feel free to email with ideas.  I'm always open to hearing what you are thinking.  BUT please keep your email to the point.  Long emails often don't get answered because I have no freaking clue what people are asking. :-)

To intelligent sustainable weight loss,

Deano

Ps...I will be including my other podcasts as possible resources.  They have been a big part of my overall change in how I look and I share lots of my own lessons on this journey that you may find very helpful depending on where you are in your life.

If you would rather receive those updates as they come out (Tuesday and Thursday) then I suggest you subscribe to my second site, www.deandwyer.com.  Then you can get those updates as they are released.

    Sir,

Awesome website. I ordered your book from Amazon yesterday. ETA Tuesday. Any chance of getting less podcasts and more written word? Reason is the written word is easier to skim of skip or for those that read faster than others, cover more territory quicker. That’s usually not possible with Pod Casts.

Either way, thanks for your leadership and generosity.

  2. Hey Christian…personally I’m moving more into podcasts…more effective teaching tool for me…somewhere down the road I would like to offer the transcripts though for people who like to to consume the written word…but there will be some written stuff coming here on this site my friend. Thanks for buying the book…let me know if you have any questions.

  3. Love the new look. I also love the written word. Very hard for me to find time to listen to podcasts. I wish everyone that did the podcasts whould also have the transcripts available for reading. Keep up the good work.
